The Development of Transport Infrastructure among Cities with a Cultural Heritage (on the example of Tbilisi, Georgia)

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 4-14.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.4CrossRef

Abstract:
Tbilisi is a modern capital city with a population above 1 million inhabitants, like many other similar cities is under severe pressure from results of urbanization. The most "heavy" topics for municipal agencies are environmental unbalance and saturation of vehicles in urban space. An important step in understanding of the coexistence of urban transport and cultural heritage for Tbilisi was the project funded by the European Union to improve the management of the river Mtkvari (Kura). The project is based on the idea of active use of the historic neighborhoods Rica (Peski) and Meidani by way of the festival space on the river Mtkvari.

The Ways of Increase the Efficiency of the Internal Combustion Engine

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 15-28.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.15CrossRef

Abstract:
In the course of work performed review of information on ways to improve the efficiency of the internal combustion engine. The objective of this work was to analyze the ways to improve efficiency. There were two thermal calculation of the internal combustion engine with different compression ratio of 10.5 and 14. Built two gauge charts. Based on these calculations and built charts the conclusion about efficiency of the internal combustion engine.

Efficiency Increase of the Internal Combustion Engine

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 29-38.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.29CrossRef

Abstract:
In the course of the work, a review and analysis of the work on the creation of engines with variable compression ratio was performed. The task of the work is to analyze the effect of compression on the effective performance of the engine. Two thermal calculations of the internal combustion power with different compression ratios of 10.3 and 14 were carried out. Two indicator diagrams were constructed. Tax accounting and economic statistics.

A 1.6 Liter Hydrogen and Petrol Engine

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 39-50.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.39CrossRef

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the effective performance of an internal combustion engine on various fuels. Effective parameters of the engine were studied for different mix compositions and ignition timing when the engine was running on hydrogen. The calculated data are presented: tables and graphs for studies.

The Coordination Modes of the Engine in a Hybrid Power Plant

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 51-58.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.51CrossRef

Abstract:
One of the directions of development of the world automotive industry is the creation of an environmentally friendly, economical, with good driving characteristics and a large margin of the car. From this point of view, the most promising are cars with combined plants operating on two or more sources of energy. The most common "hybrid" is the combination of an internal combustion engine and an electric motor. Coordination of the work of these two propulsions requires careful attention.

Specificity of the Complexity of Transport of Dangerous Goods

The History of Land Transport, 2017, 3(1): 59-69.
DOI: 10.13187/hlt.2017.1.59CrossRef

Abstract:
On the basis of scientific literature this article describes the classification of dangerous goods (DG) and the specificity of their transportation. It also tells about international organizations that are involved in the development of conventions and agreements on the DG transport issues. The purpose of the article is to study the organization of transport of dangerous goods. It is also to find the basic details of the transportation of such goods and the development of measures to increase the safety of it.
